After the dried stevia leaves have been milled, we use a freshwater brewing method to unlock the natural sweeteners, including the best tasting extract of the plant – Reb A. What is stevia?
Stevia Rebaudiana Bertoni (commonly called stevia) is a member of the Chrysanthemum plant family widely grown for its sweet leaves and nutritional benefits. Stevia is a natural herbal sweetener with no calories or carbohydrates. Native to Paraguay, Stevia has been used to make natural sweeteners for centuries in South America.
What is Sweet Simplicity® Sweetener?
Sweet Simplicity® is a zero-calorie tabletop sweetener that is 100% natural. It contains erythritol and fructose as its sweetening ingredients. Small amounts of natural flavors are also added.
What is erythritol?
Erythritol is a sugar alcohol and belongs to a group of carbohydrate-based sweeteners. It is a white crystalline powder that is odorless with a clean, sweet taste that is similar to sugar. Erythritol has been part of the human diet for thousands of years as it is present in such fruits as grapes and melons. Similar to making cheese from milk and wine from grapes, the erythritol in Sweet Simplicity is made through a natural fermentation process.
